It provides a simple yet intuitive interface to a range of useful features, as well as support for international users in multiple languages. Some of the key features include account inquiry, transfer, bill payment, BOC credit cards functions, customisation of your preferred settings and management of your BOC accounts (functionality depends on the interface used: mobile browser, mobile app, Internet).

Additional Simplified Procedure
The Bank of Ceylon offers two online banking options: Smart Online Banking and BOC E-Banking. Here’s how to register for each:
Smart Online Banking:
Eligibility: You must have an existing BOC account (savings or current) and a BOC ATM/Debit Card.
Registration Methods:
1. Online Self-Registration:
** Visit the BOC Smart Online Banking website: https://online.boc.lk/
** Click on “New User Registration.”
** Select your account type (Savings or Current) and enter your account number.
** You’ll receive a One Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP to proceed.
** Create a username and password following the bank’s security guidelines.
** You’ll receive another OTP to confirm your registration.
2. Branch Registration:
** Visit any BOC branch.
** Inform the customer service representative that you want to register for Smart Online Banking.
** Provide your account details and mobile number.
** The bank representative will assist you with the registration process.
BOC E-Banking:
Eligibility: This is mainly for corporate customers and requires specific authorization from the bank.
Registration:
** You cannot register for BOC E-Banking online.
** You need to contact your branch manager or relationship officer and express your interest in registering for BOC E-Banking.
** They will guide you through the process, which may involve completing application forms and obtaining necessary approvals.
Important Notes:
** Before registering, ensure you have a strong internet connection and a device with a secure browser.
** Keep your login credentials confidential and never share them with anyone.
** Be cautious of phishing scams. Only access your online banking through the official BOC website or app.
