How To Register For Sampath WePay?

A customer may self-register using an own mobile device; bank verification is not required to register or process transactions. Using your Android or iOS device simply download the WePay app to experience new methods of payments. Customers of Sampath Vishwa, Sampath Bank personal current/saving account holders, account holders of any other bank and Mastercard or VISA credit/debit cardholders of any bank can now register themselves and add the accounts cards to Sampath WePay.

General Registration:
** Tap “Register with information” and enter your details
** Enter the “One Time Password” sent to your mobile number
** Set a PIN and you will be directed into the WePay wallet
** You can add your accounts and debit/ credit cards and you can apply for a wallet card as well

Login for Vishwa users:
** Tap “Login with Vishwa” and enter Vishwa user name and password
** Enter the One Time Password sent to your Vishwa registered mobile number
** Nominate a password for WePay
** Set a PIN and you will be directed into the WePay wallet
** Your Vishwa accounts and cards will be available in WePay

Login via Social Media:
** Tap “Registration” and “Sign up with Social Media”
** Select your preferred social media method to log in
** Enter the password of the social media method
** Complete the registration flow and you will be directed to the WePay wallet
** You can add your accounts and debit/ credit cards and you can apply for a wallet card as well

Registering for Sampath Bank WePay in Sri Lanka is a simple process, and you have two options:

1. Using your Mobile Number:
** Download the Sampath WePay app: Available on both Google Play and App Store.
** Open the app and tap “Register with information.”
** Enter your personal details: Name, National Identity Card (NIC) number, date of birth, contact number, email address (optional).
** Verify your mobile number: You’ll receive a One Time Password (OTP) via SMS. Enter the OTP in the app.
** Set a secure PIN: This will be your primary way to access your WePay wallet.
** Congratulations! You’re now registered and can start using your WePay wallet.

2. Using Social Media:
** Open the WePay app and tap “Registration” > “Sign up with Social Media.”
** Choose your preferred social media platform: Facebook, Google, or Apple.
** Log in to your chosen platform.
** Complete the registration flow: This may involve granting permissions and verifying your identity.
** You’ll be directed to your WePay wallet.

Important things to remember:
** You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid Sri Lankan NIC to register.
** You can add any Mastercard or VISA credit/debit card to your WePay wallet, regardless of the issuing bank.
** If you’re already a Sampath Bank customer with a current/savings account, you can register using your Sampath Vishwa credentials for a simpler process.
