The .gov..ph Domain Name Registration Service is a service offered by DICT to process new application, modification and deactivation of the .gov.ph domain. This is exclusively for Philippine Government Agencies only as stated in the Philippine Government Internet Domain Names Policy.

Reminders:
** Availment of .gov.ph Registration does not automatically include the Government DNSHosting Service (GovDNS) and/or Government Web Hosting Service (GWHS) vise-versa.
** .gov.ph Registration is different from the Government DNS Hosting Service (GovDNS). .gov.ph Registration is the application for a .gov.ph domain name while GovDNS is the provision of DNS Hosting.

How To Register A .GOV.PH Domain Name?

.gov.ph Domain Application requirements:

1. Letter of Intent:
For new applications, the requesting agency is required to submit by email, written in the agency’s letterhead, an official letter proving the requesting party’s authority to register a particular domain name for the agency. The letter should be duly signed by anyone of the following: Agency Head, Chief Information Officer, or the MIS Head.

The request letter should be addressed to:
IVAN JOHN E. UY
Secretary
Department of Information and Communications Technology

2. Accomplish the .gov.ph Domain Application Form.

Note:
If you have already AVAILED the Government DNS Hosting Service (GovDNS), Nameserver Information in the .gov.ph Domain Application Form/ .gov.ph Domain

Modification Form should be:
** Primary Name Server: murphy.gov.ph
** Secondary Name Server: mike.gov.ph
** Other Name Server: elmo.gov.ph

3. The form should be signed by the Agency Head or the MIS Head. For Local Government Units, the form should primarily be signed by the Municipal Mayor/Provincial Governor, if not possible, the Municipal Administrator/Provincial Administrator or MIS Head could sign in his or her place.

4. Submit the scanned .gov.ph Domain Application Form (in PDF format) together with the Letter of Intent to dns@dict.gov.ph, then, indicate your agency name and the service/s you are availing in the email subject. An email notification will be sent to the authorized persons you have indicated in your application forms.

5. For concerns, you may email dns@dict.gov.ph.

How to modify the Nameserver Information and/or Authorized Contact Person of an existing .gov.ph domain?
For organizations who have a registered .gov.ph domain name, you can modify your domain Nameserver Information and/or Authorized Contact Person through the submission of a .gov.ph Domain Modification Form.

1. Accomplish the .gov.ph Domain Modification Form

Note:
If you have already AVAILED the Government DNS Hosting Service (GovDNS), Nameserver Information in the .gov.ph Domain Application Form/ .gov.ph Domain Modification Form should be:

** Primary Name Server: murphy.gov.ph
** Secondary Name Server: mike.gov.ph
** Other Name Server: elmo.gov.ph

For organizations that have a registered .gov.ph domain name, you can deactivate your domain through the submission of a .gov.ph Domain Deactivation Form.

1. Accomplish the .gov.ph Domain Activation Form

2. The form should be signed by the Agency Head or the MIS Head. For Local Government Units, the form should primarily be signed by the Municipal Mayor/Provincial Governor, if not possible, the Municipal Administrator/Provincial Administrator or MIS Head could sign in his or her place.

3. Submit the scanned .gov.ph Domain Deactivation Form (in PDF format) to dns@dict.gov.ph, then, indicate your agency name and the service/s you are availing in the email subject. An email notification will be sent to the authorized persons you indicated in your application forms.

4. For concerns, you can email dns@dict.gov.ph.

Additional Simplified Procedure

Here are the steps to register a .gov.ph domain name once the registration process reopens:
1. Review the eligibility requirements: To be eligible to register a .gov.ph domain name, you must be a Philippine government agency or institution.

Prepare the required documents: The following documents are required for registration:
** A duly accomplished .gov.ph Domain Application Form
** A copy of a valid ID of the authorized representative
** A copy of the Certificate of Registration or other relevant document proving the existence of the government agency or institution

Submit the application:
Once you have prepared all the required documents, you can submit your application online through the new website.

Pay the registration fee:
The registration fee for a .gov.ph domain name is PHP 2,000.00 per year.

Receive confirmation:
Once your application has been processed and approved, you will receive a confirmation email with your domain name details.

** The registration period for a .gov.ph domain name is one year.
** You can renew your domain name for up to five years at a time.
