What is HSS NWT Health Care?

The NWT Health Profile describes the health status of residents by focusing on key public health issues that have an impact on the whole of the population. In a series of short one page infographics, the Profiles present an overview of the complex factors that influence and shape NWT’s population health status. These Profiles expand our understanding of the health of residents and give decision-makers and practitioners the information they need to take action. All eligible NWT residents should register to get an NWT Health Care Card.It is important that you carry your health care card with you at all times. You may be asked to show it when you visit a doctor’s office, hospital or health centre.
