Register Your Interest
We’re seeking interest from those who’d like to be part of the COVID-19 vaccination workforce.
Both paid and volunteer opportunities are available in various locations, and we’re looking for skills from both health and non-health backgrounds.
Please note :
planned maintenance will take place on the HandsUp form on Wednesday 23 June, 5–9.30am. You will not be able to register your interest during this time.
About The Roles
** Available roles include various administration, vaccination, and support and liaison roles. The DHB or contracted health provider will assess your suitability based on your skills and experience.
** When you register your interest, you’ll have the opportunity to specify how far you’re willing to travel for work and you can tell us the days and hours you can offer.
** Depending on the role, you may be required to work shifts and/or after hours. This will be for the DHB and contracted health provider and yourself to agree.
** The duration of your contract will be determined by the DHB or contracted health provider.
Training :
Training and induction are the responsibility of the DHB or contracted health provider who employs you. Depending on your role, the training could consist of a mix of online and face-to-face sessions.
Employment :
The DHB or contracted health provider will be your employer and responsible for all employment-related statutory requirements. Standard reference and police checks will form part of the recruitment. The Ministry of Health is not involved in the employment process.
Expired annual practising certificates :
The cost of reinstating annual practising certificates is at the discretion of the responsible authorities involved – we recommend you check with them. Depending on the expiration date, this may impact the roles you may be considered for.
Your Privacy
** When you register your interest we’ll collect your name, contact information, location, and information about your experience and qualifications in order to ensure that you are the right fit for one of the roles.
** In registering your interest you agree to your details being used by the Ministry of Health, DHBs, and contracted health care providers for the purposes of determining whether you fit any of the required roles. All those who have access to these details meet security privacy requirements.
** If you require your information to be updated, please email COVID-19Response [AT] health.govt.nz with your required updates. You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you.
