1. Who can receive COVID-19 vaccine?
All individuals aged 18 and older. However, some part of the community needs further consideration for this vaccination, namely Individuals with severe allergies Pregnant women and nursing mothers COVID-19 positive individuals Individuals with immune system issues Currently, most of the clinical trials conducted are for volunteers aged 18 and older.

Some vaccine companies will conduct clinical trials on children. Therefore, the government will consider the use of the COVID-19 vaccine on children when there is enough scientific data that proves its effectiveness and safety for this group.

2. Can I choose the type of vaccine?
No. Recipients need to adhere to the COVID-19 vaccine schedule using the stated brand according to the specified time period. All vaccines that are approved by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Division (NPRA) are safe and efficacious to be used in Malaysia.

3. I would like to register my dependant(s) for vaccination. How do I go about it?
The feature that allows you to register on behalf of your dependant(s) is now available in the MySejahtera app. Please ensure your app is up-to-date to access this feature.

4. How will I be notified if I am eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination?
Vaccine recipients will be notified via push notification on the MySejahtera app. Kindly ensure you enable push notification in your app settings. Once you receive the notification, click on it and answer the questionnaire immediately.

5. I recently underwent a surgery to remove a growth. Does that mean I have comorbidity?
Yes. Although the growth has been removed, you are still considered to have comorbidity.

6. I have a history of penicillin allergy. Since then, I have not taken any penicillin and thus have not recorded any allergic reactions. Am I categorised to have severe allergies?
You are considered to have severe allergic history if you have been hospitalised, experienced swelling, shortness of breath or any other life-threatening symptoms. Kindly seek advice from qualified medical professionals if you are considering getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

7. What are the common side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine?
The side effects of the COVID-19 vaccine that have been reported are usually mild and temporary. The most commonly reported side effects are: pain / swelling / redness on the injection site feeling tired or lethargic headaches shivers joint pains feverish nausea feeling unwell swelling of the lymph nodes other side effects that may be reported from time to time
