Examiners’ Registration :

The WAEC Ghana Examiners’ Registration Portal is designed to allow existing examiners register and new examiners apply online. Old Examiners are expected to supply their old examiner numbers.

E-Payslip System Ghana

The system checks the validity of the old examiner number and populates his/her details for completion of the registration. After registration/application, WAEC reviews the entries and issues a unique Examiner number to Examiners. The unique Examiner number would be sent to the email address of the user.

1. each user is expected to create a login which would be used to access and modify profile details if need be.

2. a valid email address is required as your new Examiner number would be sent to your inbox.

Appointment Of Examiners :
The West African Examinations Council, Accra invites applications from interested and qualified persons to be appointed as Assistant Examiners to mark scripts for the examinations it conducts.

1. Examinations And Subject Areas For Which Examiners Are Required
(1) Examiners are required for the following examinations conducted in Ghana :
(a) The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)
(b) The West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
(c) The General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE)
(d) The Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE)

(2) The examiners are required for all subjects for the above examinations particularly the following :
BECE : English Language, Social Studies, Mathematics, Integrated Science, ICT, Religious and Moral Education and Twi (Asante).

WASSCE : English Language, Literature-in-English, Mathematics (Core and Elective), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science, General Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Crop Husbandry and Horticulture, Twi (Asante), Clerical Office Duties, Financial Accounting, Business Management, Management-In-Living and Foods and Nutrition.

G/ABCE : Marketing, Human Resource Management, Office Administration and Practice, Typewriting, Information and Communication Technology, Business Law, Auditing and Business Communication.

2. Qualification And Experience :
Applicants must have the following minimum qualifications :
(1) BECE
Post-Secondary Teachers’ Certificates obtained from recognized Colleges of Education/institutions with a minimum of five (5) years post-qualification teaching experience in the relevant subjects. Diploma and degree holders must have graduated in the subjects they wish to mark and must have taught those subjects for a minimum of three (3) years.

(2) WASSCE, GBCE AND ABCE :
Degrees in the subjects applied for, obtained from recognized universities or institutions with minimum of three years post-qualification teaching experience in the subjects. Those applying for Literature-In-English at WASSCE must be familiar with the set books being used now for the subject.

Applicants must, in addition, be computer literate (at least, be capable of using word processing programme). They must also have demonstrated ability to be thorough and accurate in their work and be able to meet target dates. Their integrity must be unquestionable.
