We are happy to inform you that the 2014/15 Loan Application has been opened, effective 1st September, 2014.

Application Requirements

** You must be a Ghanaian.
** You must have been offered admission to study an accredited tertiary programme in Ghana.
** You must be pursuing tertiary programme such as a diploma or 1st degree.
** You must have a valid Social Security Number or Reference Number, a Mobile Phone Number and an Email Address
** You must have a guarantor.
** You must have an e-zwich account.

Documents to be Submitted

Please submit photocopies of the following documents to support your application, where applicable. (Do not send originals of any documents.) :
** Evidence of death of parent(s).
** Evidence of disability of parent (from recognized hospital stating type and level of disability).
** Evidence of relationship with household dependants.
** Evidence of retirement of parent and/or guardian.
** Evidence of living in a rented premises .
** Evidence of basic school attended (loan applicant only).
** Any other document that you believe will assist in the processing of your application.

In the absence of documentary evidence a witness may confirm all information provided.

List of persons qualified to witness are :
** Senior Public Servants
** Metropolitan, Municipal & District Chief Executives
** Senior Medical Officers
** Coordinating Directors
** Members of recognised professional bodies (e.g. Lawyers, Accountants, Engineers, etc)
** Ministers of recognised religious bodies
** Senior Police Officers
** Senior Officers of the Ghana Armed Forces

A sworn affidavit may also be submitted to support claims, where specific documents are not available.You can get the affidavit from Commissioner of OATHS from the following areas : Around government premises, Post offices and many other places.

Submit a Form

To complete the whole application process you need to print two (2) copies of the online application form and then submit to the nearest campus office with the necessary supporting documents. You will be contacted via an email when your application is duely. That’s all you need to do!

Additional Simplified Procedure

To apply for a Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) loan online, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to the SLTF website.
2. Click on the “Students Loan” tab.
3. Click on the “Apply Online” button.
4. Create an account or log in to your existing account.
5. Fill out the application form.
6. Upload the required documents.
7. Submit your application.

The required documents for applying for an SLTF loan online are:
** A valid Ghana Card Number (can be acquired at designated GRA offices for free).
** A copy of your Student ID card or admission letter.
** A copy of your SSNIT ID number or SSNIT reference number.
** A copy of your e-zwich card (both sides).
** A recent passport-size photograph.

The SLTF will process your application and notify you of the outcome within 30 days. If your application is approved, you will be required to sign a loan agreement and provide a guarantor. The loan amount will be disbursed to your bank account within 10 working days after the signing of the loan agreement.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when applying for an SLTF loan online:
** You must be a Ghanaian citizen.
** You must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program at an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana.
** You must have a valid Ghana Card Number.
** You must have a minimum of 60% academic performance in your previous semester.
** You must not have any outstanding loans with the SLTF.
