MOE Arts & Music Instructors Scheme Singapore
If you are a passionate practitioner of Art or Music and love interacting with students, we welcome you to join us as an Art or Music instructor.

As an instructor, you will enjoy flexible work arrangements with a commitment ranging from 4 to 10 weeks, depending on your discussion with the school on your commitment and workload. You may also renew your commitment period easily upon mutual agreement with the school.
During your commitment period, you may teach Art or Music in the classroom, or facilitate mass enrichment programmes that support the respective curricula. You may even have the opportunity to do a combination of both.

Eligibility
Join us as Art and Music instructors at our primary schools
Art Instructors at Primary Level
Prospective Art Instructors At Primary Level :
** Must be registered with MOE under the Instructor Registration Scheme;
** Must be above 18 years of age;
** Should possess 5 GCE ‘O’ Level passes incl. English;
** Should have relevant art qualifications;
** Should have acquired relevant work experience in Art-related fields :
i. professional work in Art, e.g. as an artist, etc. and/or
ii. teaching of Art, e.g. as an instructor, etc.
Music Instructors at Primary Level
Prospective Music instructors at Primary Level :
** Must be registered with MOE under the Instructor Registration Scheme;
** Must be above 18 years of age;
** Should possess 5 GCE ‘O’ Level passes incl. English;
** Should have relevant qualifications i.e. ABRSM 6 (Grade 6 practical + Grade 5 theory)
** Should have acquired relevant work experience in Music-related fields :
i. professional work in Music, e.g. as a conductor, etc. and/or
ii. teaching of Music, e.g. as an instructor, etc.
Note :
Prospective Art and Music instructors may be asked to submit their teaching portfolios comprising evidences of works created by students they have taught.
Registration Information
New applicants applying for AMIS registration will be considered for both AMIS and MOE registration concurrently. Please take note of the following procedures :
** Please apply to register with MOE online at stee-rems.com.sg/eSolution/Login.aspx. Applicants should indicate AMIS as an area of specialisation and submit the relevant supporting documents on the online Registration Form
** All applicants will be notified by email on the outcome about 6 to 8 weeks upon receiving their completed application.
** Schools may interview AMIS instructors who are registered with MOE to assess their suitability based on the school’s needs before engaging their services.
For existing MOE registered instructors who wish to apply for AMIS, please email the necessary supporting documents (refer to the criteria for AMIS) separately to MOE_IRS [AT] moe.edu.sg.
Rates of Payment
As an Art or Music instructor, you will be paid on an hourly basis. Rates range from $35.00 to $80.00 per hour. The rate you are paid will be decided by the school, depending on your experience and expertise, and their assessment of your ability to meet the school’s specific needs.
