Information secure

** The Canadian Firearms Information System and the associated web services use advanced security measures in order to provide secure e-commerce on the Internet. Through its secure web certificates our solution identifies a web site and encrypts communications between the browser and web server.

The security solution used provides strong web security, trusted verification of the web site’s identity and strong encryption during browser to web server transmission. This is based on the same technology used by numerous internet banking sites and offers a high level of security.

** Individual and business clients are further protected by Personal Identification Number (PIN) and Business Identification Number (BIN) passwords to access their data. There are processes in place to detect hackers and prevent them from breaking into a user’s personal information.

In addition image verification security has been added to some areas of the website to enhance an already secure service.

  1. You took the money out of my account on April/11/2019. Still no word on my license.

  2. I called about the status of my pal to see how it is going on if they received my paper work, I got threw just fine an the officer was really nice and said they received it an had to do something? I forget I believe something with my picture an it goes through another channel not sure what the name of it is nor what it was called, But depending on how busy they are depend’s when they get it back an then they send it out an I have been waiting 3 month’s. When you take the course the instructor (or) your instructor tell’s you it will take up to 3 month’s to get your licence? I don’t know why they would tell you that for if it ain’t true? cause when my brother did his he got his licence in 2 month’s. I guess it is what it is only in Canada.

  3. Your process to find out where a person’s status on their application for a PAL is not the easiest to do. There must be a way to simplify it (or) hire more people to answer the phone.

  4. I sent my application in October 21st, 2017 and still waiting for my PAL, can someone let me know the status of my application? Its been about 1 year already.

  5. Last April, I have applied for renewal, 5 months seems to be excessively late.

  6. I have sent the application for license 8 months ago. Where is my license? I can’t get through on the 1800#.

  7. I have sent my application over 2 months ago, and cannot log into your site to check status. It Keeps telling me, I am missing information (or) there is no information on me to be found. Tried getting a GC key, that does nothing. Logged in through a financial institution to get key, that doesn’t do anything either.

  8. My application was sent in the middle of march, did you get it, and when is it coming. Why do I need to give a banking name to see how my application is doing. I sent a money order for $60 bucks along with the application.

  9. I sent my application on January 28, 2018 and I have not received a response yet.

  10. I would like to know the status of my application.

I applied for my firearms license in April and still have not received my permit. My old license expired on May 14 2015. I want to know why you are holding my license back. I talked to an RCMP Constable in the Trail BC. He said that I should have received my license much earlier and that I should contact the Firearms Licensing Office and find out why you are holding my permit back for no apparent reason, except the excuse when I’ve phoned twice Ph. # : 1-800-731-4000. We are busy and you will have to wait your turn.
