DGIP Online Passport Tracking System

** Applicants can check the Status of Machine Readable Passport (MRP), processed within last 3 months.
** User Login must be created before availing the facility to track passport.
** Every successful Logged-In User can track passport for only 3 Times-Per-Day.

Create User :
You have to enter the following details,
** Login Name
** Password (Maximum 10 characters or digits)
** Re-Enter Password
** Full Name (as per Passport)
** Father/Husband Name
** Gender
** Contact No (with city code)
** CNIC/NICOP (only 13 Digits)
** E-mail

Types of Passport

The Passport Act, 1974 and Passport & Visa Manual 2006 regulate the issuance of passports. There are three types of passports being issued :
** Ordinary.
** Diplomatic.
** Official.

Ordinary Passport :
Ordinary Machine Readable Passport is issued to all citizens of Pakistan.

Requirement for MRP :
** Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC)/NICOP/Smart-Card or Children Registration Certificate (Form”B”)>

** Original Bank Challan of Rs.3000/- for Normal & Rs.5000/- for Urgent processing for 5 years validity passport & Rs.5400/- for Normal & Rs.9000/- for Urgent processing of 10 years validity passport

** Children under 15 years of age will be issued 05 years validity Passport
** Old Passport (if any)

Policy :
** Ordinary Machine Readable Passport is issued to all citizens of Pakistan.

Validity :
** The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports will issue the Machine Readable Passport (MRP) valid for five years & Ten years subject to fee deposit.

Note :
** Passoprt having validity of 05 years cannot be converted into validity for 10 years.
** Children under 15 years of age will be issued Passport having 05 years validity.

Process

** After submitting Prescribed Passport Fee for acquiring the relevant Passport Category, the applicant will go through the following stages at Regional Passport Office (RPO) for obtaining Machine Readalbe Passport (MRP
Note :
** Before arrival at the Regional Passport Office (RPO), Original Bank Challan receipt must be acquired from the relevant branches of the National Bank, by depositing an prescribed Passport Fee.

** Process Flow In Pakistan & Foreign Missions Abroad
** Arrival of Applicant at Customer Service Counter.
** Token Counter + Photograph Capturing.
** Biometric Data Capturing. i.e.(Finger Print)
** Data Entry.
** Verification as per Office Record (ECL/BL).
** Interview and Decision by Assistant Director.
** Passport Delivery Counter.

Documents

** Following are the mandatory requirements for applying Machine Readable Passport (MRP).

Diplomatic Passport :
Diplomatic passports are issued to the Diplomats and other entitled categories in pursuance of Para-45 of Passport & Visa Manual, 2006.

Official Passport :
Official passports are issued to Pakistani Nationals who are Senators, MNAs, Provincial Ministers, Judges of the Supreme Court of Pakistan/High Courts, Officers serving with the Government and proceeding abroad on official assignments etc. in pursuance of Para-9 of Passport & Visa Manual, 2006.

Additional Simplified Procedure

To access the DGIP Online Passport Tracking System, you can follow these steps:
1. Go to the DGIP website.
2. Click on the “Passport” tab.
3. Click on the “Online Passport Tracking System” link.
4. Enter your CNIC number or Passport Number.
5. Enter your date of birth.
6. Click on the “Track” button.

You will then be able to see the status of your passport application.

The status of your passport application can be one of the following:
** Application Received: Your application has been received by the DGIP.
** Biometrics Taken: Your biometrics have been taken.
** Passport Printed: Your passport has been printed.
** Passport Dispatched: Your passport has been dispatched to the relevant office.
** Passport Delivered: Your passport has been delivered to you.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when accessing the DGIP Online Passport Tracking System:
** You can only track your passport application if you have applied for a passport through the DGIP Online Passport Application System.
** You will need to enter your CNIC number or Passport Number and your date of birth to track your passport application.
** The status of your passport application may take a few days to update.
