Registration For Automated Passenger Clearance System :

After successful completion of the registration for the Automated Passenger Clearance System, the registered travel document entitles the following persons to use the e-channels at the Border Gate, Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal, Taipa Ferry Terminal, Macao International Airport and Cotai checkpoints for immigration clearance.

Registration Location and Time:
Border Checkpoint at the Hong Kong-Macao Ferry Terminal (Arrival Hall) 8:00 – 00:00
Border Checkpoint at the Taipa Ferry Terminal (Arrival Hall) 8:00 – 00:00
Border Checkpoint at the Border Gate (Arrival Hall) 9:00 – 23:00
Immigration Department Office Building at Pac On 9:00 – 17:00 (no lunch break but closed on Sat, Sun and government holidays)

Target Groups and Application Eligibility:
** Holders of a valid “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card” and their dependants
** Holders of a valid “Special Stay Permit”
** Students possessing valid “Temporary Authorization to Stay” (aka “red stamp”) or “Special Authorization to Stay” (aka “green stamp”).

Required Documents:
Applicants are required to approach the designated registration locations with the following documents for registration:
1. Valid passport or travel document used for application for “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card”, “Special Stay Permit” or “Special Authorization to Stay”;
2. “Revenue Receipt” of application for “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card”.
3. Original “Receipt” of application for “Special Authorization to Stay” for Non-resident Students (aka “student visa”) .

Note:
1) “Non-resident Worker’s Identification Card”, “Special Stay Permit” or “Special Authorization to Stay” holders can still use the conventional channels for immigration clearance no matter their fingerprint templates have been captured or not in the registration process.
2) Minors aged 11 to 17 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and produce the birth certificate of the applicant and the identification document of the accompanying parent or guardian for registration. (If accompanied by a guardian, the proof of legal relationship should also be provided.)

Registration for e-Channel for ‘Hong Kong Permanent Residents’ :
Target Groups and Application Eligibility
** Hong Kong permanent residents aged 11 or above

Required Documents :
** Applicants are required to approach the designated registration locations with their Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card for registration.

Note :
1) Hong Kong permanent residents can still use the conventional channels for immigration clearance no matter their fingerprint templates have been captured or not in the registration process.

2) Minors aged 11 to 17 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and produce the birth certificate of the applicant and the identification document of the accompanying parent or guardian for registration. (If accompanied by a guardian, the proof of legal relationship should also be provided.)

Registration for e-Channel for ‘Residents of Mainland China’ :
Target Groups and Application Eligibility :
** Residents of Mainland China holding a “Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao” and a multiple “(Type S – Business) Endorsement for Hong Kong and Macao” valid for 3 months or above

** Residents of Mainland China holding a “Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao” and a multiple “(Type T – Family Visit) Endorsement for Hong Kong and Macao” valid for 3 months

Required Documents :
** Applicants are required to approach the designated registration locations with the following documents for registration :
1. “Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao”;

2. The above document should contain:
a. a multiple “(Type S – Business) Endorsement for Hong Kong and Macao” valid for 3 months or above; or
b. a multiple “(Type T – Family Visit) Endorsement for Hong Kong and Macao” valid for 3 months.

Note :
1. Holders of a “(Type T – Family Visit) Endorsement for Hong Kong and Macao” are required to use the conventional passenger channels for entry clearance when they first arrive at Macao.

** Then they may proceed to the registration locations to have their fingerprint templates captured for the Automated Passenger Clearance System. After successful completion of the registration process, they are entitled to repeated use of the e-channels for immigration clearance within the limit of stay granted upon their first arrival. If their stay in Macao exceeds the limit of stay granted, they will be considered to be overstayers.

2. Holders of a “(Type S – Business) Endorsement for Hong Kong and Macao” will receive an arrival slip from the system when they use the e-channels for entry clearance. The arrival slip contains the visitor’s personal information, date of entry, conditions and limit of stay. Visitors should read the information carefully and keep the arrival slip during their stay in Macao.

3. The above residents of Mainland China can still use the conventional channels for immigration clearance no matter their fingerprint templates have been captured or not in the registration process.

4. Any change in the information registered for the Automated Passenger Clearance System (e.g. a new “Permit for Travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao”, a new “(Type S – Business) or (Type T – Family Visit) Endorsement for Hong Kong and Macao” will affect the visitor’s eligibility to use the e-channels. The visitor will have to register again.

5. Minors aged 11 to 17 are required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and produce the birth certificate of the applicant and the identification document of the accompanying parent or guardian for registration. (If accompanied by a guardian, the proof of legal relationship should also be provided.)
