Local Transfer From Visit Visa To Work Visa:

Description of Service:
Local transfer from visit visa to work visa is implemented to foreign visitors who already signed an employment contract in Kingdom of Bahrain.

The service is implemented according to the rules and procedures and laws of the kingdom of Bahrain.

Required Terms of Service:
** The guarantor or his legal representative must be present to implement the service.
** Applications must be separated in case of having more than one application and each request must have its own documents
** Note: if transfer is for domestic help then the service is done at NPRA. Otherwise the fee is paid at NPRA office at LMRA and submission of application is in accordance to LMRA procedures.

Required Documents:
** Service request form.
** A clear copy of the worker’s passport.
** The original and valid work permit.
** A clear copy of the guarantor’ CPR and kindly advise if the sponsorship is for the first time.
** A copy of the applicant’s CPR or his legal representative.

Procedures:
** Go to Nationality, Passport & Residence Affairs, make sure to provide the required documents and follow the submission procedures.
** Fill out the application form and wait for your service number on the screen.
** Go to the concerned employee to submit the required documents and follow up number.
** Pay the fees and receive your receipt.

Fees:
60 BD.

Terms and Conditions:
** The NPRA shall hold all information provided con?dential.
** The representative of the employer or guarantor shall act within the limits of the authorization.
** The NPRA reserves the right to approve a request or reject it.
** The visitor or resident is not permitted to stay in the Kingdom after the expiry of visa or residence permit.
** Visitor must be able to support himself ( and any dependants ) during the visit.
** Visitor is not allowed to take up any employment.
** Visitor shall hold a valid passport and return ticket.
** Holding a visa does not guarantee entry to the Kingdom of Bahrain unless it meets all conditions and the holder has required documents on arrival to be granted entry, at the discretion of the Passport Of?cer at the port.
** The application is subject to Laws and Regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the penalties for irregularities desecribed in Penal Code and particular laws in this regard. The NPRA has the right to order the repatriation of any expat at any time, on violation of laws, and regulations by the expat or the employer or the guarantor.
** The visitor must provide the address of his residence in the Kingdom.

The application shall be rejected :
1. If the data and documents provided is incorrect.
2. If it does not meet the conditions required for visa or residence permit.

  1. I am on visit visa in Bahrain. Visit visa is for 30 days. I am getting a job. Can my employer transfer visit visa to lmra visa or should I leave the country?
