Registration For eTax:

To enter eTax you need a digital certificate, which you register on first registration in the system.

I already have a certificate:
If you already have your digital certificate installed, start the first registration procedure.

Proceed to First Registration:
The first registration requires:
** installed digital certificate
** installed component for electronic signature
** get acquainted and agree with Conditions for the Use of eTax

Conditions of operation:
The use of these websites or the eTax information system is governed by these conditions and the rules of application, including the user instructions (“on-line on-screen assistance” with the relevant “Glossary of Terms”) as well as the applicable law governing this area in the Republic of Slovenia. By clicking the “Sign” button on logging into eTax, you expressly agree with its contents and enter into a contractual relationship with TARS, thus confirming that you are capable of taking upon yourself the rights and obligations arising from this contractual relationship.

More about the first registration:
In the course of your first log-on you will sign the Conditions for the Use of eTax. When logging on, the component for electronic signature (Active X control for Internet Explorer, XpCom for Mozilla-Firefox / Windows or Java for Mozilla-Firefox / Linux) will download onto your computer.

You will sign the document “Conditions for the Use of eTax” with your digital certificate. The duration of transmission depends on the speed of your Internet connection. When clicking Proceed, the download of the next page may take a few minutes, so be patient. The process is visible in the browser’s status bar

If you are having difficulties logging in, check whether you have:
** suitable software
** installed digital certificate
** administrative rights in the operating system
** correct browser settings.

I do not have a certificate yet:
If you do not yet have a digital certificate, you must obtain it from one of the authorised certification agencies (CA). Install it according to their instructions.

Digital certificates differ with respect to the type of your tax application:
** Natural person – e.g. submission of tax return for income tax assessment
** Representative of a legal entity or natural person pursuing business – operations with FURS, e.g. submission of DDV-O forms
** State institution representative
** Employee of a legal entity or a natural person pursuing business – operations with FURS on behalf of the legal entity (in accordance with obtained authorisation)
** Public administration employee

Limitations and unsupported operating systems and web browsers :
** Due to constant operating system and web browser updates it can happen that the component for electronic signatures will stop working after a certain update or on a newer version of these systems.

** We are regularly maintaining the eTax service and updating the component to make sure this would not happen. If the component should stop functioning on any of the newer operating systems or browsers due to updates, please use one of other supported browsers until the issue is resolved.

** Although we specified in the required software section which operating systems and web browsers are supported, there is a high probability that the component will also work with older versions of previously supported software. In accordance with safety requirements we do not recommend using older versions of previously supported software.

For security and other reasons, eTax service is no longer supported on :
** Older Windows operating systems, including Windows XP and Vista and older (Windows 8 operating system must be upgraded to at least Windows 8.1).
** Older Linux operating systems, as only the last two versions of major distributions are supported.
** Older Mac OS operating systems, as only the last two versions are supported.

Older web browsers that are no longer supported by the publishers, including :
** Internet Explorer up to version 10 is no longer supported.

** Firefox and Chrome are being automatically updated, therefore only the latest version is supported (with the exemption of Linux operating systems, where the version included in the distribution is always supported). Latest version of Firefox ESR is also supported.
** Safari is supported only in recent versions related to the supported Mac OS operating system.

** On Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft Edge browser is not supported. You can use eTax service in Windows 10 with Internet Explorer, which is accessible from the menu in Microsoft Edge browser.
** Electronic signature component in Safari browser on Mac OS operating system only works with the first imported digital certificate.

** Safari from version 10 onward has disabled Java plug-ins by default, so they have to be manually enabled in your browser preferences (Preferences – Security – Plug-in Settings).
