Categories:
Begin your search by clicking on one of the categories listed on the home page. This will take you to a new page where you can either click on a sub category to run a quick search or refine your search to produce a list of relevant jobs. Note : if you are logged in to your personal account the number of jobs shown as available in the various quick search categories will be limited to those in the NI search regions you have selected. The Refine Search option will search for jobs from all regions regardless of the NI search regions you have selected.

Free Text Search:
The free text search field avialable top right of home page allows the user to either search for a single job by inputing a known vacancy reference number or input a search word which the system will attempt to match to job title, employer name, job duties or job location for all live NI vacancies.

Login / Register:
Fill in your username and password then click the button to login to Jobcentre Online. Only registered users can login so if you need to register first, click the Register button.

Problems logging in:
If you are having problems logging in, make sure you are entering your correct Email address and password. If you are still having problems logging in, contact us at jcol_feedback@delni.gov.uk

Why should I register:
Registering with JobCentreOnline will enable you to save your most frequently performed searches. You will also be able to save jobs so that you can recall them at a later date.

Registering will also allow you to complete and store your CV or to complete the JobCentre application form. This will enable you to apply for jobs by submitting your CV or Application Form directly to certain employers.

NI Search Regions:
When logged in to your account it is possible to limit job category quick searches to jobs in selected NI regions. All other types of searches are not affected by regions selected.

Latest Vacancies:
Clicking on the home page Latest Vacancies link will bring you to a page showing all NI vacancies which have become “live” in the last 2 day period.

What do the coloured icons mean?:
If you have saved any jobs in your personal list, you will see some coloured icons beside them. These indicate the current status of the vacancy and it also indicates if you have applied for that vacancy. By letting the mouse ‘hover’ over the icons, it will tell you some more information (such as closing date or the date on which you applied for the vacancy. Below is a list of what each icon means.

** Vacancy active Active Icon
** Vacancy closing within 3 working days nearly closed icon
** Vacancy closed Vacancy Closed
** Indicates that you have applied for this vacancy Have Applied Icon

You may phone any of our Jobs & Benefits Offices / JobCentres on weekdays (except public holidays) between 9am and 5pm. All phone calls you make to us are charged at the normal rate.
