L Visa Application For Family Reunion With Relatives Residing In Beijing :
A. Applicants:
Foreign Citizens over 60 (included) with no next-of-kin abroad coming to join their relatives residing in Beijing.

B. Application Documents:
1. Passport with Current visa
2. Residence Registration Certificate for Beijing
3. Visa or residence Permit Application Form
4. A recent 2-inch photo with pale blue background

5. ID card, Residency Certificate of the relative for those visiting Chinese citizens residing in Beijing; or Foreign Citizen Permanent Resident Card for those visiting the card holder
6. Notarised Certificate of Kinship
7. Notarised testimonial that the applicant has no next-of-kin abroad,
8. Notarised certificate of the applicant’s source of income, or financial guarantee by the relative,

9. Notarised Lease Agreement or Ownership Certificate of the applicant or the relative.

Note:
Photocopies and originals are required of the above listed documents; whilst notarisation by local Chinese Consulates is required for certificates issued abroad.

C. Term of Validity:
Visas good for 6 or 12 months with 0/single/double/multi entries are granted.

D. Time for Approval:
Approval upon submission of requisite documents will take 5 workdays, which does not include Saturday when applications are collected.

What is marriage between Chinese citizens and foreigners?
Marriage between Chinese citizens and foreign nationals, including Chinese holding foreign nationality, foreign nationals and stateless persons residing in China, falls under this category.

Basic Procedures for Foreigners to Adopt from China :
I. Submission of Application :
** The first step for foreigners to adopt a child in China is to submit adoption application and certifying documents through their government departments or adoption agencies authorized by governments.

Documents required for adoption in China include:
(i) Inter-country adoption application letter;
(ii) Birth certificate;
(iii) Marital status certificate;
(iv) Occupation, income and financial status certificate;
(v) Physical examination certificate;
(vi) Criminal/ Non-criminal record certificate;
(vii) Home study report;
(viii) Certificate certifying the approval of the inter-country adoption by the competent authority of the country where the adoption applicant resides;
(ix) Copy of passport;
(x) Two bareheaded photos (two inches) and six family photos.

** All the certificates except those required in item (ix) and (x) must be produced by the competent body in the resident country and authenticated by diplomatic organization of the resident country or agencies authorized by the diplomatic organization and notarized by the embassy or consulate of the People’s Republic of China in that country.

** China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) does not accept any adoption application documents submitted directly by individuals.
