Change of Employment Permit Information:

Matters Relating to the Alteration of Position and Employer for Foreigners:
Materials required for the alteration of position:
1. An application for alteration (explaining the reasons for alteration and the new position appointed, affixed with the official seal of the employer);

2. A photocopy of the newly-signed Labor Contact (the photocopies of a resolution signed by over 2/3 of the board members and the articles of association need to be submitted for appointments above the rank of deputy general manager);
3. The Employment Permit (the original)
4. Time limit for handling: Handling on the application day

Materials required for the alteration of employer:
1. The original copy and photocopies of the business license (duplicate), certificate of approval or industrial and commercial registration certificate of the new employer;
2. A written application from the new employer (explaining the reasons, position and term of the employment, affixed with the official seal of the employer);
3. The credentials in Chinese of the foreigner required for the performance of the job (the original and a photocopy of the academic degree certificate, the professional skills qualification certificate and the credentials of over two years of relevant work experiences of the foreigner to be employed are required); Where the submitted academic degree certificate or the credentials of qualifications are in a foreign language, their Chinese translation bearing the official seal of a professional translation company should be provided;
4. The certifying document of quitting of job from the original employer (explaining the reasons and date of quitting of job. Where the original employer has been cancelled or closed, the approval document of the concerned department should be submitted);
5. The original and a photocopy of the Labor Contact entered into with the new employer (the photocopies of a resolution signed by over 2/3 of the board members and the articles of association need to be submitted for appointments above the rank of deputy general manager);
6. The Employment Permit (the original), and a certifying document of the transfer or cancellation of the employment permit signed and issued by the local certificate office needs to be submitted for the person who previously works in another city;
7. The original and a photocopy of the valid passport of the foreigner to be employed;
8. The original and a photocopy of the Employee Certificate of Permanent Offices of Foreign Enterprises in China after the alteration;
9. The finished Employment Registration Form for Foreigners or the Employment Registration Form for Residents of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and two recent passport-size photos of the person to be employed.

Time limit for handling: 5 working days.

Points Of Attention:
1. Domestic companies which are to employ foreigners should submit the original and a photocopy of their social insurance registration certificate;
2. Beijing branch of the out-of-town enterprises which intends to employ foreigners should submit a photocopy of the business license of their head office, a photocopy of their certificate of approval and the original and a photocopy of their own business license or registration certificate;
3. A resolution signed by over 2/3 of the board members needs to be submitted when the employer is to employ a foreigner with position above the rank of deputy general manager. Where the employer does not have a board of directors, it shall submit a resolution signed by the person in charge as specified in its articles of association;
