Frequently Asked Questions:

What criteria do I have to fulfil in order to apply for the scholarship?:
The MOE-AU Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship for students who are interested in pursuing an academic career at one of our local Autonomous Universities (AUs). The MOE-AU Scholarship provides support at the undergraduate level, to help prepare recipients for future academic careers.

How does the MOE-AU Scholarship work?:
MOE-AU scholarship recipients are paired to a specific AU upon receipt of the scholarship. This facilitates development opportunities for the scholar, as the AU is able to start building a relationship with the scholar right from the start. Scholars can express their preferences to be paired to a specific AU in the application form. Currently, MOE-AU scholarship recipients may be paired to NUS, NTU or SMU.

The MOE-AU Scholarship sponsors recipients for up to four years of undergraduate studies, after which the scholar is expected to apply for and obtain an AU-sponsored postgraduate scholarship to pursue a PhD from the AU to which they are paired.

The National University of Singapore (NUS) Overseas Graduate Scholarship (OGS) is one example of an AU-sponsored postgraduate scholarship that applicants may apply for upon completion of their undergraduate studies.
