University of Guyana SAGE Scholarships :

Application Requirements:
** Applicants must be a Guyanese citizen
** Applicants must submit a completed application

** Applicants must meet the entry requirements of the University of Guyana.
** Applicants must be applying to their first year of study at the University of Guyana.

Note that you may submit a SAGE application before being accepted at UG, but selection as a SAGE scholar will be contingent upon satisfactory CSEC exam results and UG acceptance.

There are no age restrictions for SAGE scholars. Typically applicants have completed their secondary school programmes within a few years of applying to the University of Guyana, but all interested parties are encouraged to apply.

SAGE Scholar Requirements:
Recipients of SAGE scholarships must submit grades to SAGE at the end of every school year and are expected to maintain a 3.0 GPA per year, and to be in good standing with the school.
In addition, SAGE scholars required to sign a contract in which they pledge to remain in Guyana for no less than 2 years after completion of their program at the University of Guyana.

Application Process:
In order to apply for our scholarship, students must complete our application materials. The SAGE application materials must be mailed to the Students Welfare Division at the University of Guyana. The SAGE application is separate from the University’s general application. All SAGE applicants must have also separately submitted an application to the University of Guyana, either through the Admissions Division, or through their online application system

SAGE will choose scholarship recipient(s) to start school in semester 1 of 2015. Again, we are looking for applicants who have strong academic potential, limited financial means, and are dedicated to developing Guyana. If you wish to apply, please complete ALL PARTS of the enclosed application, and mail them to the University of Guyana, along with your University application and proof of financial need. Scholarship recipients will hear from us shortly after notification of acceptance to UG.
