Application can be made in person or electronically. It should contain all data, contained in the passport of the citizen of Georgia. In addition, following documentation should be enclosed:
** A copy of the passport of Georgian citizen;
** If you are a person between 18-27 years of age – military service card or a document verifying postponement or waver of military service;
** 2 photos, size 3×4;
** A document verifying the payment of the state duty.

If an application is made by your representative, than additionally – power of attorney is required.

What additional documents do I need to submit in case of minor?:
To receive emigration permission for a minor, you will need to additionally submit a copy of birth certificate and consent of legal representative. A birth certificate, issued in a foreign state, must be authorized either through legalization or certified via apostil. To issue emigration permission for minor or incapable person, a notarized consent of his/her legal representative (custodian) is necessary.

Note:
In case of electronic application, you must ensure hand-delivery of a document verifying consent of legal representatives, a birth certificate, issued in a foreign country, either legalized or certified by apostil and a document verifying waver or postponement of military service.

A copy of birth certificate, issued in a foreign country, either legalized or certified by apostil, can be submitted electronically without hand-delivery of an authentic document via online service, if verification of the number of apostil or legalization can be double-checked via electronic registry.

What is the timeframe required for the consideration of emigration permission?:
Application for emigration permission shall be considered within one month following the submission of appropriate documentation.

How is the emigration permission issued?:
In case of issuance of emigration permission, a note of “permanent leave” will be made in your passport, indicating the date it was issued, verified by the stamp of the agency and a signature of competent person.

Note:
In case of passport change during the period of your emigration, the Public Service Hall is obliged to consider your application within 10 days and transfer a stamp and a signature in the new passport.

How to emigrate a minor?:
Minor under 18 years of age is emigrating with his/her legal representative, and if a minor is traveling to a legal representative in a foreign country and has his/her written consent – than he is obliged to travel with competent adult person.

If legal representatives of a minor have dispute regarding his/her emigration issue, than the case will be decided at the court.

Can incompetent person emigrate?:
Emigration of incompetent person is forbidden without consent of his/her legal representative and adult accompanying person.
