Documents Required For Provisional/Permanent Registration :
** Bill of Sale
** Board resolutions of buying and selling companies (if applicable)
** Confirmation of class
** Deletion certificate/consent from the current registry.
** Current Statutory certificates (copies)
** No vessel shall be registered unless at the time of registration, such vessel is classed by one of the following classification societies.(IACS Member Societies)
** Any other documents as per the following Regulations

Documents required for the issue of a provisional registration,
** Notarized proof of ownership (Bill of Sale or Builder’s Certificate)
** If the applicant owns a vessel under a foreign flag and the vessel is being
** transferred to Sri Lanka Flag without changing the ownership, proof of ownership duly legalized by competent authority.
** Cancellation certificate or consent of the current registry.
** Board resolutions from buying and selling companies.
** Certificate of class or seaworthiness certificate issued by one of the above mentioned classification societies.
