The Consular counter is available on Mondays and Wednesdays between 08.30am and 11.30am. Each appointment is for 15 minutes. Please send an email at least 24 hours prior to your preferred time. We will confirm your appointment by return email.

Documents, certificates, letters and notes available at the British Embassy Kuwait:
The British Embassy in Kuwait can perform various types of notarial and legalisation services for British citizens and for non-British nationals whose requirement has a link to the UK. An appointment must be made for each service.
If there is no specific formal requirement for a notarial service or certificate to be provided by the British Embassy Kuwait, local notaries or lawyers can sometimes provide these services more conveniently, quickly and cheaply. It is essential to check with the relevant authority (eg town hall, registry office, tax authorities, foreigners office etc) either in the UK, Kuwait or a third country, that our consular certificate or service will be accepted. Only the relevant authority can confirm which service you will require. This information cannot be verified by the British embassy.
Fees for consular certificates and documents are paid at the embassy on the day of the appointment and can be paid by cash or credit card (excluding American Express). Refunds of consular fees are not given for certificates or notarial services that are not accepted by the requesting authority.
Most documents performed with a notarial and legalisation service will be marked with a note stating the embassy bears no responsibility for the contents of the document.
