What is NADRA Family Registration Certificate?

Family Registration Certificates are documents issued to nationals of Pakistan highlighting the family tree structure of the applicant. Family Registration Certificate (FRC) is a mean of being identified with your NADRA’s record. This provides the family composition. Please note that the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) helps in Embassy use mostly but cannot be used for any Legal requirement.

How To Apply For NADRA Family Registration Certificate?

You can apply for Family Registration Certificate FRC in the following three categories :
** By Birth – The produced certificate will list your family including the details of your parents and siblings.
** By Marriage – The produced certificate will list your family including the details of your spouse and children.
** By Adoption – The produced certificate will list your family including the details of your guardian.

You can apply for your FRC by either visiting NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or through Pak-Identity website.

NADRA Registration Center (NRC) :
You can apply for the Family Registration Certificate (FRC)Â by going to the nearest NADRA Registration Center (NRC).

Following are the steps which you will be following at the NRC :
By Birth :
** You will be issued a token
** Your photograph will be taken
** Your data will be entered and reviewed by yourself
** Your required FRC will be printed and handed over

By Marriage :
In case children are less than 18 years of age, please note that you have to bring all the children along with you who are required to be added in the FRC.
** You will be issued a token
** Your photograph will be taken
** Pictures of all the children will be taken
** Your data will be entered and reviewed by yourself
** Your required FRC will be printed and handed over

In case children are equal to or greater than 18 years of age
** You will be issued a token
** Your photograph will be taken
** Your data will be entered and reviewed by yourself
** Your required FRC will be printed and handed over

Application Procedure

Data Acquisition at Data Acquisition Unit (DAU)
** Issuance of Token
** Photo Capturing
** Thumb and Signatures
** Data Acquisition by DEO
** Verification from NADRA Data Warehouse
** Printing of FRC Form at DAU
** Delivery to Applicant

Required Documents For FRC

Following are the documentation requirements for FRC :
** CNIC numbers of all family members
** CRC numbers of all family members

Additional Simplified Procedure

Here are the steps on how to apply for a NADRA Family Registration Certificate (FRC):
1. Go to the NADRA website (www.nadra.gov.pk).
2. Click on the “Identity” tab.
3. Select “Identity-FRC.”
4. Click on the “Apply Online” button.
5. You will need to create an account or log in to your existing account.
6. Fill in the application form and upload the required documents.
7. Pay the application fee.
8. Submit your application.

The required documents for the FRC application are:
** A copy of your CNIC.
** A copy of the CNICs of all your family members.
** A recent passport-sized photograph of yourself.
** A recent passport-sized photograph of each of your family members.

The application fee for an FRC is Rs. 500. Once you have submitted your application, you will be notified of the outcome within a few weeks. If your application is successful, you will be able to download your FRC from the NADRA website.

You can also apply for an FRC by visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC). The required documents are the same as for the online application. The application fee is Rs. 600 at an NRC.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when applying for an FRC:
** You must be a Pakistani citizen to apply for an FRC.
** All of your family members must be registered with NADRA.
** You must have a valid CNIC.
** The photographs of you and your family members must be recent and in good condition.

  2. I am residing in Italy. Does Pakistan embassy in Milan makes FRC to clients?

    1. Yesterday I was informed by embassy that we can get FRC from web page of Nadra.
