The Ministry of Justice can provide you with information you can use to show if you have a criminal record (called a ‘criminal conviction history’) or not. We can also send this to a person or organisation that you agree is allowed to see it.

What does a criminal conviction history provide?:
A criminal conviction history is a list of criminal and traffic convictions and sentencing from court appearances. It does not include any Youth Court convictions before 1989. It also does not list any court appearances where you were not found guilty.
