Apply For Employment & Student Visa/Pass :

Every foreigner who intends to work in Brunei Darussalam must have a valid Employment Visa authorised by the Department of Immigration and National Registration and is issued at the Brunei Embassy or High Commisioner.

Exemption from Employment Visa/Pass:
Malaysian and Singaporean are exempted from employment visa

Validity of Employment Visa:
Maximum length of the validity of visa is 3 months

Fees of the Visa Application:
Single Entry – B$20.00

Prerequisite Entry Requirement:
The employer must have a quota license from the Labour Department
Approval letter from the work pass section of the Immigration and National Registration Department
The worker should have a valid passport/travel document recognised by the Brunei Director of Immigration and National Registration.
The passport must have a validity of 6 months before entering the country.

How do I apply for an Employment Visa/ Pass for a Company?:
To apply this visa, the employer is required to lodge the visa application personally directly to the work pass section of the department

Studying:
Universiti Brunei Darussalam and other tertiary school offers overseas students the chance to study. However to study in Brunei you need to apply for a Student Visa.

Prerequisite Entry Requirement:
** A student should have a valid passport/travel document recognised by the Brunei Director of Immigration and National Registration.
** The passport must have a validity of 6 months before entering the country.
** An introductory letter from the Ministry of Education

Before entering Brunei a student visa must be apply through Brunei Embassy or High Commission Office where the applicant resides.

What do I have to provide to get a Student Visa or Pass?:
** Recognised passport must have a validity of 6 months before entering the country
** Two passport-size photograph
** Introductory letter from the Brunei Ministry of Education

Documents required when applying for a social visit visa application are as follows :
** The visa application form
** Letter of application from the guarantor
** Copy of applicant’s travel document (validity period of 6 months prior to submission)
** Two pieces of recent photograph of the applicant
** guarantor identification card (origin and copy)
** Guarantor travel document (Original and Copy)
** The relevant documents proving the relationship between the guarantor and the applicant
** Any relevant document as it thinks fit.
