How To Apply For Assessments For Registration as a Nurse in Canada?

Before applying for a credential assessment, please review the requirements for the regulatory body in province or territory in which you intend to apply for registration.

Application Procedure:
If you have already received an ICAS Assessment Report, please contact us at info@icascanada.ca for information on how to apply to have it sent to the regulatory body

** Save or print this page.
** Click “Apply Now” located below.
** Select “Sign up” to create an account. You will then receive an account activation email. Click on the link in the email to activate your account.
** Sign into your account and complete the application by:
** Client Information – enter your personal information
** Education History – Next enter in the details of your education history
** Assessment Reports and Services – Click the “Select” button under Education, Employment and Licensure
** Select type of Assessment Report – Select the type of assessment report required by the regulatory body to which you are applying (see above).
** Note: if you are applying to more than one regulatory body and the type of report they each require is different, contact us at info@icascanada.ca for more information.
** Purpose of the assessment – Select “Professional Licensure”
** Add Delivery Address – Enter your residential address to which your copy of the assessment report is to be sent. Do not enter the regulatory bodies address.
** Select the regulatory body/bodies to which you would like your report and documents to be sent (or transmitted)
** Delivery Address(es) – on this page you can review the address you provided and additional recipients you have selected. You can also add any other recipients that you would like your report to go to.
** Which credentials would you like to submit? – select the education credential(s) that you would like to submit for assessment.
** Once selected the documentation requirements will be displayed and you will have to select Official. You can review the country specific document requirements now by selecting the country of your education here.
** Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy pages – Please ensure you read the information and then you must click and accept on these pages
** Review and Confirm Your Request – Review the application details and then click “Pay”
** Checkout – Provide payment details and complete payment
** Once you have successfully submitted the payment your application is complete. You will receive a Confirmation Email
** Contact the authority/institution which awarded your nursing qualification(s) and request to have official documents sent directly to ICAS.

Required Documents For Assessments For Registration as a Nurse

Please review the specific documentation requirements for the country in which your education was completed. The processing of your application begins when we receive ALL required documents. Incomplete documentation delays the assessment process

Important Notes:
** With the exception of original documents, all documents submitted for assessment become the property of ICAS and will not be returned.
** Documents issued directly to ICAS by the institution will not be released to the applicant. If you are submitting original documents, we would encourage you to select and pay for courier service so that documents can be returned with your Assessment Report.
** If the name which appears on the documents differs from the name on your application, you must submit a copy of official evidence of change of name.
** If the documents were not originally issued in English or French, ICAS also requires an accurate word-for-word translation of each document.
** If you provide English-language documents or translations, you will receive an English-language report. If you submit French-language documents or translations, you will receive a French-language report.
** If you did not study on-campus at the institution which awarded your qualification, your documents must clarly indicate the location of study.
