What is Botswana National Internship Programme?

The programme offers unemployed citizen graduates a platform to develop work skills and experiences that will support them in the transition from school-life/academia to the working environment through attachments in various organisations in Botswana. Placement is done for a maximum period of two (2) years by the Department of Employment Services. Selection is done on a first come basis by considering the available vacancy, qualification and place of service.

Unemployed citizens under 35 years of age with graduate qualifications

How To Apply For Botswana National Internship Programme?

** Complete and submit the Internship Application Form
** Receive acknowledgement letter with a reference number
** Government departments, State Owned Enterprises, Private sector, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO)s and CBOs express intention to enrol graduates through a Request Form
** The applicant will receive a telephone call once placement is secured by the Department of Employment Services
** The Intern will complete and submit Return Slip Form
** The Intern’s performance is monitored through a Performance Contract Form
** The intern is eligible for monthly allowance by submitting a Confirmation Form
** The Intern can transfer once after three (3) months by filling a Transfer Form
** The Intern can opt for reinstatement by filling a Reinstatement Form
** The Intern can choose to exit the programme before or at end of two years for various reasons by filling an Exit Form.
