How To Apply For Exercising Rights Abroad Certificate in Croatia?

This section lists some of the certificates that are required for exercising certain rights abroad or in an international organization If you are a natural or legal person who needs their personal information for exercising a specific right abroad or in an international organization, you are entitled to submit a request to the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation for the following information

** extract from your criminal record
** extract from your misdemeanour record.

In case of your absence, another person may submit the request on your behalf, but only if authorised by you through a signed statement certified by a notary public.

Issuing Extracts From Criminal Records

If you are a natural person, the following is required for the issuance of this extract:
** completing Form Va
** enclosing a copy of valid identity card or passport
** certified authorization (if the extract is requested on behalf of another person, the authorization needs to be certified by a notary public or Croatian embassy or consulate in the country where the person is located).

If you are a legal person, the following is required for the issuance of this extract:
** completing Form Vb
** enclosing extract from the Court Registry no more than six months old (extract from the Court Registry implies the original document issued by the competent commercial court).

The request for the issuance of an extract from your criminal record can be submitted every working day between 9 am and 1 pm at the Criminal Records Department, Directorate for Criminal Law of the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation, Ulica grada Vukovara 49, Zagreb or via post to the same address. If the request was submitted in person or through a proxy, in most cases the extract can be collected the same day.

In case of your absence, another person may submit the request on your behalf, but only if authorised by you through a signed statement certified by a notary public. Persons temporarily residing abroad can submit the request through the embassy or consulate of Croatia in the country where they are located.

Issuing Extracts From Misdemeanour Record

The issuance of the extract from your misdemeanour record is initiated by submitting a substantiated written request, together with a certified translation of the specific regulation or request by the body of the foreign country requiring the issuance of the extract.

If you are a natural person, the following is required for the issuance of this extract:
** completing Form 5 – form for requesting information from the Registry of Misdemeanours for a natural person for exercising rights abroad (the form is available in the section Documents)
** enclosing a copy of valid identity card or passport

If you are a legal person, the following is required for the issuance of this extract:
** completing Form 6 – form for requesting information from the Registry of Misdemeanours for a legal person for exercising rights abroad (the form is available in the section Documents)

The request for the issuance of an extract from your misdemeanour record can be submitted every working day between 9 am and 1 pm at the Misdemeanour Records Department, Directorate for Criminal Law of the Ministry of Justice, Public Administration and Digital Transformation, Ulica grada Vukovara 49, Zagreb or via post to the same address. If the request was submitted in person or through a proxy, the extract can be collected the same day.
