What is CBC Automated Border Control (ABC) Kiosks Programme?
The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control (CBC) has implemented the Automated Border Control (ABC) Kiosks programme. The programme is designed to expedite the entry process of eligible travellers including family groups, by utilizing automated, self-service kiosks. Eligible Caymanians, spouses or dependants of a Caymanian, Permanent Residents and their dependants are invited to use the ABC kiosks. Eligible Leisure Visitors are also welcomed to use the ABC kiosks.

How Does ABC Kiosk Work?
Eligible travellers, including those in family groups, are prompted to scan their passport, have their photograph taken by the kiosk camera and answer a series of questions. The kiosk will then verify the information entered and once complete each passenger will be issued a receipt. Travelers will then present their printed receipt along with their other travel documents to the assigned CBC Officer. It is important to note that if a family group is using the kiosk, the first person to begin the process must be at least 18 years of age.
Who is Eligible For ABC Kiosk?
To be eligible to use the kiosks, a traveller must be:
** Caymanian
** Spouse or dependant of a Caymanian
** Permanent Resident and their dependants
** Leisure Visitor (visiting less than 30 days)
In addition to the above criteria for eligibility, a traveller must also hold a valid passport from one of the following countries:
** (BOTC) Cayman Islands
** United States
** United Kingdom
** Canada
Who is Ineligible to use the ABC Kiosk?
** All other passport holders.
** Persons living in the Cayman Islands on a Work Permit and their dependents.
** Persons arriving for Business or here In-transit.
** Unaccompanied minors under the age of 18.
** Persons requiring any kind of entry Visa.

Am I eligible to use the Kiosks If I have a pending application for Perminant Residency?
No. You must have a current and valid status of a Permanent Resident to be eligible to use the kiosks. All pending applications must be finalised, and your immigration category officially changed to Permanent Resident or Permanent Resident Dependant.
Can take my family with me to the ABC Kiosk?
Yes, if they arrived on the same flight and at least 1 member of the family is at least 18 years of age.
Do have to do anything in advance to be able to use the ABC Kiosk?
No. There is no pre-clearance process that needs to be completed prior to arriving to the Cayman Islands to use the kiosk. You must however be eligible to use the ABC Kiosk.
Do still have to fill out an ED Card?
Yes. All travelers to the Cayman Islands are still required to complete an ED (Embarkation/Debarkation Card).Unless, they are travelling on a valid BOTC Cayman Islands Passport. This card will need to be presented to a CBC officer along with your kiosk receipt and passport for verification.
