(iv) If the employer / additional employer is a company; all communication will be sent to the contact information associated with the company’s Trade & Business License as held by the Department of Commerce and Investment.

Checklist of Cayman Islands BVP1 Business Visitors Permit Grant

This list is a summary of general requirements for ALL applicants. The Director of WORC reserves the right to request additional information or documentation as he sees fit.

** Application form duly completed, signed and dated by employee and employer. Please do not leave any question blank. If a question does not apply to you, insert “not applicable” or “n/a” in the space provided.
** Cover letter signed by Employer with detailed summary of why the Business Visitors permit is required.
** A minimum of 2 visits per calendar year are required to qualify for a Business Visitor Permit.
** Correct fee, including non-refundable CI$50 application fee
** 1 full face passport sized photograph AND 1 profile passport sized photograph
** Original signed and sealed, Police Clearance certificate, less than 6 months old, from last place of residence.
** Where the employer is licensed by another body other than the Trade & Business Licensing Board, proof of current license

Note:
The Visitor’s Work Visa is not available to those who are employed in a professional capacity (lawyers, accountants, medical professionals, architects, surveyors, teachers and other occupations) or who are otherwise not entitled to a work permit by virtue of having reached their term limit.

The Visitor’s Work Visa also does not exempt someone from the requirement to obtain an entry visa if they possess a passport from a country which would otherwise require a Visitor’s Visa to enter the Cayman Islands. In addition, a business visitor may not hold more than one Visitor’s Work Visa in relation to the same sponsor or sponsors within the same calendar month, but, unlike a Business Visitor’s Permit, a Visitor’s Visa may be used for a single visit.
