How To Reserve a Business Name in Cambodia?

You may reserve a name prior to the incorporation of a new business, or prior to changing the name of a business. Start with choosing the type of business you are in and start reserve a name. For example, if you are a sole proprietorship, from online services, choose sole proprietorship, and then choose reserve a sole proprietorship name.

The document support upload is optional. On payment of your application for name reservation, the name will be considered ‘reserved’ until it is internally reviewed by the official. During this time, no other person may specify the same name on a new name reservation application.

On approval of the name reservation application, the name remains reserved until its expiry, which is 3 months from the approval date. If you intend to extend your reserved name, you can make the second payment to extend your reserved name for another 3 months.

Note:
The purpose of the name reservation does not need to be specified. As a general rule, the chosen name for a company must not be confusing, misleading, or offensive.

MOC New User Registration

** This is the first step to reserve your organization name or register your organization.
** Find ‘Register as new user’ link on the right hand side of the home page or ‘Log on/Register’ on the top right-end menu bar.
** Check ‘I also want to create an organization’ box, if you intend to create an organization along with your registration. Or if you are not ready to create an organization, just ignore ‘I also want to create an organization’ box.
** On the register user page, fill all the details required on Account details, User details, Contact details.
** Once you finish registration, click ‘create’ and you will be taking to dashboard. Your name will automatically appear on the top right-end of the menu. Now, you are a registered user.

Register Your Business in Cambodia

Starting a business in Cambodia is a fairly straightforward procedure. To do business legally, you must first register with MoC business registration. Now, the service is done online. You can start reserving a name before registering your business or start registering your business right away.

Why To Register?
In order to set up a business in the Kingdom of Cambodia, you need to register your business either as a sole proprietorship, partnership, private limited company, public limited company, or foreign company. It is very easy to register your business online. All you need to do is to fill in the required information and documents and to pay the required registration fee before submitting to the business registration official to be reviewed.

On approval of the application, the company will be incorporated immediately and certificate of incorporation issued. Once you start your application you have 15 days to complete it; otherwise, it will be removed from the system.

Sole Proprietorship:
To register a Sole Proprietorship with business registration, your will need to be logged on as a registered user of the website. From the online services, choose Sole Proprietorships, and then choose Incorporate a Sole Proprietorship.
