How To Apply For Fiji Police Clearance?

All applicants that attain the age of 16 years require Police Clearance. The embassies have their own procedures for applicants to comply with when requesting for the police clearance report.

The Fiji Police Force will require all applicants to provide the under mentioned documents before police clearance report can be processed:
** Copy of the birth certificate if born in Fiji
** Copy of the front page of passsport if born in other countries
** Exact address where the report to be forwarded after it is processed
** Phone contact (local)

Guidelines of Fiji Police Clearance

Hereunder are the guidelines for the Fiji police clearance reports for different countries.

Australia For Migration Purposes:
** Case file number
** Case Officer dealing with papers
** Covering letter from DIMIA (if possible)
** For Local loding, “Standard Form A” from the Embassy with the Australian High Commission stamp on the photo.
** You can download the form from Australian High Commission website.

For Employment Purposes:
** Forwarding address of the employer/lawyer (no personal address)
** Birth Certificate

New Zealand For Migration Purposes:
** Standard Migration Form (this can be collected from the NZ Embassy, Reserve Bank of Suva, Fiji)
** Birth Certificate
** You can download the form from New Zealand High Commission website

For Employment Purposes;
** Fill Fiji Police Form
** Forwarding address of employer
** Birth Certificate

Canada:
** Fill Fiji Police Form
** Case file number
** Address of the Processing Center
** Covering letter from the Immigration Center (if possible)
** Birth Certificate

** Applicant’s sets of fingerprints will be required to be attached with their application. The fingerprints should be taken by a Police Officer and signed with the official stamp. Without the fingerprints Clearances for Canada will not be processed. Photocopy of the sets of fingerprints is not accepted.

United States Of America:
** Standard form from the US Embassy based in Suva, Fiji with case file number
** Birth Certificate

** Applicant’s sets of fingerprints will be required to be attached with their application. The fingerprints should be taken by a Police Officer and signed with the official stamp. Without the fingerprints Clearances for USA will not be processed. Photocopy of the sets of fingerprints is not accepted.

For Employment In Any South Pacific Island Or Foreign Country:
** Fill Fiji Police Clearance Form
** Certified copy of Birth Certificate
** The forwarding address is to be clearly written
** This also applies to New Zealand and Australia but for employment purposes only.

Local – Employment:
** Fill Fiji Police Clearance Form
** Forwarding address of employer
** Birth Certificate
** Payment fee of $23.00 (only for government departments)
** Payment fee of $61.30 (non government departments)

For Rehabilitation of Offenders, forms can be filled at the Police Headquarters based at Vinod Patel Building,4 miles.

Note:
Police report prepared by the Fiji Police Force cannot be forwarded directly to the applicant but will be sent to the authority, which requires the report.

  1. If you are already in Canada and in the process, how do you still obtain a police clearance if it requires your fingerprints?
