How much is an adult passport?:
An adult, 10 year, 32-page passport currently costs £72.50 for standard service. Other timescales are available at an additional fee.

What do I need to do?:
You need to complete the application form and submit it to our office with:
** two recent, identical photographs that meet our requirements (all passport application forms come with detailed guidelines on what is and is not acceptable). We do not have an in-house photography facility. See internationally agreed standards for passport photographs
** a countersignatory (someone to witness your application and who has known you for at least two years)
** the fee

You need to complete section 4 of the form if you were born, adopted, registered or naturalised in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man. If you have a link with the UK through a parent or grandparent born, adopted, naturalised or registered in the UK, you need to provide as much information as possible. You only need to provide details of one parent or grandparent, not all.

Supporting documents you will need to provide:
We need to see original documents that prove you are British. We cannot accept photocopies of documents.

A birth certificate is not considered absolute proof of identity.

We may ask to see further documents.

** We need to see your birth or adoption certificate.

If you were born in UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man on or after 1 January 1983:
We need to see your full birth or adoption certificate showing your parents’ details and one of the following:

We may ask for further documents relating to your parents

If you were born outside the UK and have a certificate of naturalisation or registration:
We need to see:
** your naturalisation or registration certificate

If you were born outside the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man on or after 1 January 1983, and one of your parents were born, registered or naturalised in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man:
