How To Apply For Re-Entry Permit in Bangkok?

An alien who is permitted to stay in the Kingdom temporarily, if traveling out of the Kingdom without making Re-entry, it will be considered that the permission to stay in the Kingdom is terminated.

But if before leaving the Kingdom, the alien has been granted permission by the competent official to be able to re-enter the Kingdom with the current visa held. When come back or re-enter the Kingdom, he/she will be able to continue to stay in the Kingdom for the remaining period of their visa.

Procedure:
** Prepare complete documents with fees.
** Contact in person at the immigration office.

Documents Required For Re-Entry Permit in Bangkok

1. Passport
2. Application Form (TM.8) (attached photograph (4*6 cm.) that is not less than 6 months old.)
3. Download TM.8 Form (Print out 1 sheet)
4. A copy of passport page as follow
** Bio data page
** Passport expiration date page
** Edit personal information page (if any)
** Last entry permit stamp
** Extension Stamp to stay in the Kingdom page (if any)
5. Departure card (Tm.6) and 1 copy (if any)
6. Original documents from relevant authorities and 1 copy (in case of prohibited travel outside the Kingdom)(if any)
7. Application fee
** 1,000 baht for one time use (Single)
** 3,800 baht for multiple uses (Multiple)

For foreigners who live or operate businesses in the Bangkok area
Filed at: Immigration Division 1, 2nd floor, Building B (south side), the Government Complex, Chaengwattana Road.

For migrant workers of 4 nationalities : Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam who live and work in Bangkok.

Filed at the Immigration office located at:
1) Imperial World Ladprao
2) Big C Rat Burana
3) Big C Don Mueang (Saphanmai)

For foreigners under the Special Law, the Petroleum Law, the Investment Law or the law on the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand

Filed at:
Sub-Division 3, Immigration Division 1
18th floor, Chamchuri Square Building (Service Center for Visa and Work Permit) Phayathai Road, Pathumwan District, Bangkok

Or filed at Passport Control (International Departures) in the Airport on the date of departure from the Kingdom.

Additional Simplified Procedure

Here’s how to apply for a Re-Entry Permit in Bangkok:

Before you apply:
Determine your eligibility: You generally cannot apply if you fall under any categories listed in Section 12 of the Thai Immigration Act, or if you have any conditions preventing you from leaving the Kingdom. https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/re-entry-permit/

Two ways to apply:
** At a local immigration office: This is generally the recommended option as fees are lower.
** At an international airport on the day of your trip: Fees might be higher, and it’s subject to availability.

Documents required:
1. Completed Application Form TM-8: Download and print the form https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/re-entry-permit/
2. One recent passport-sized photo (4×6 cm)

3. Photocopies of your passport:
** Biodata page
** Page with the expiration date
** Any edited personal information pages (if applicable)
** Last entry permit stamp
** Extension of stay stamp (if any)

4. Departure Card (TM.6) and a photocopy (if applicable)
5. Original documents from relevant authorities and a photocopy (if applicable): This is only required if you have conditions preventing you from leaving the Kingdom.

6. Application fee:
** 1,000 baht for a single re-entry
** 3,800 baht for a multiple re-entry

Steps:
** Prepare all required documents.
** Visit the chosen immigration office or airport counter.
** Submit the completed application and documents with the fee.
** Pay the application fee.
** Collect your Re-Entry Permit upon approval.
