What is a PSA Marriage Certificate?

A PSA marriage certificate is a document containing a couple’s marriage details, including their names, the date and place of marriage, and the names of the witnesses. The couple, officiant, and witnesses must sign the document to be valid. After the civil registration of the marriage, a copy of the Certificate of Marriage is submitted to the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) and the marriage details are entered into the register of marriages. A marriage certificate is issued by the Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of the city or municipality where the wedding was celebrated.
