Student Scholarships 2014 :

Five scholarships of $1,500

Once again ACEN are offering five scholarships, each valued at $1,500, to assist students undertaking placements in Regional and Remote locations.*

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia

Applications for the scholarships close on 25 April 2014.

The aim of the 2014 ACEN Student Scholarship is to support students who will undertake a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) activity in a regional or remote area of Australia* as part of their undergraduate or postgraduate education.

Scholarships applicants must be;
i) final year students from institutions that are financial members of ACEN. (See the list of current financial institutions. This list is updated periodically.)

The placement must be;
i) Undertaken anytime in 2014
ii) Undertaken in an inner regional, outer regional, remote or very remote location* which requires you to relocate from your home address
iii) Fulltime (4-5 days per week, for a minimum of three weeks duration)
iv) Within Australia

The information provided by you in Stage 1, will assist the committee to draw up a short-list of applicants who meet the criteria.

If you are short-listed, you will be asked to provide two pages of information supporting your scholarly achievement during 2014 OR if you are yet to undertake your WIL placement you may provide evidence of your scholarly achievement on a WIL placement in 2013. Such evidence may include a supervisor’s report, co-ordinator’s report or evaluation. This enables ACEN to determine how well you use the WIL placement to improve your education in your chosen career. This information must be provided by 30 June 2014.

Successful applicants will be notified by 1 August 2014.

The above mentioned *Regional and Remote locations are those found in RA2- RA5 on the Department of Health map.
