Farmers Registration :

Farmers who are registered with the Department of Agriculture can access government concessions and incentives.

Eligibility :
Must be a farmer actively involved in agriculture, i.e.
** Crop
** Livestock
** Horticulture
** Bee-keeping

Process:
** Applicant contacts the Department of Agriculture requesting an inspection.
** An Agricultural Officer inspects the farm.
** If approved, the farmer is issued a Registration Certificate.
** The applicant’s contact information is then entered into the Farmers’ Registry.

Note:
Family Island residents should apply to the resident Extension Officers (where applicable) or the Family Island Administrator for this service.

Supporting Documents :
** Copy of the first four pages of applicant’s valid passport.
** A valid Business Licence or Receipt.
** National Insurance Number.
** National Economic Council approval (for non-Bahamians)
