Insured International Air Parcel

All Citizens, Residents and Non Residents can insure their parcels containing bulky items being sent by air.

Eligibility :
The maximum weight for a parcel is 44 lbs
The maximum size for a parcel is 3ft 6 inches in length and 6ft 7 inches in length and girth combined.

Process :
** Present the parcel at the post office counter at any post office location.
** Complete a customs declaration form.
** Complete the address label.
** Pay relevant postage rate.
** Pay relevant insurance fees.

 

Note:
International Air Parcels are shipped from The Family Islands to the Main Post Office to be forwarded.

Application Form(s) :
** Address Label.
** Customs Declaration Form or CN22 Form

These forms are only available at the post office.

Supporting Documents :
** Completed address label.
** Completed customs declaration form.

Note: For collection of Parcel

Proof of identification is required – Valid Driver’s Licence, Passport, Bahamian Voter’s Card, or National Insurance Photo ID.
Notice of Advice sent by Post Office. If you have not received a Notice of Advice from the Post Office, please visit the Parcel Post Office located at the General Post Office, East Hill Street, Nassau.

Turn-around time :
Parcels are dispatched on a daily basis.
