What is Uzbekistan eVisa?
When passing the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan and while staying in the country, foreign citizen must present a valid travel document (passport) and electronic visa in printed or electronic form.
Electronic visa (eVisa) is issued in accordance with a valid travel document certifying the identity, and valid only upon presentation of such document. In case if there is a discrepancy in the information in the issued electronic visa and travel document certifying the identity of the foreign citizen, the electronic visa is considered invalid.
Foreign citizens are responsible for the information presented in the request for obtaining electronic visa. For consideration of the application for an e-visa, a consular fee of $ 20 is collected via integrated into the portal international payment systems. In this case, the applicant does not have to be a cardholder.
The amount of the consular fee is charged only for consideration of the application for an e-visa and is not refundable. A foreign citizen may be denied an e-visa in cases established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this case, the corresponding refusal notice is sent to the e-mail address of the foreign citizen.
When applying for electronic visa, foreign citizens with dual or multiple citizenship must choose the travel document of the country, using which they plan to enter the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The result of processing of the request to be sent to the applicant’s email address.
How To Apply For Electronic Visa In Uzbekistan?
** The official portal of the electronic visa (eVisa) of the Republic of Uzbekistan operates at www.e-viza.gov.uz.
** The portal operates in three languages: English, Uzbek and Russian.
** Processing of electronic visa via web-portal is carried out in two stages: making request and providing response.
** Filling the request for processing of electronic visa to the Republic of Uzbekistan is carried out in the following order:
** In the section «Country», applicants need to select country of nationality, type of the travel document and purpose of visit;
** In the section «Dates» applicants need to select period of stay in the Republic of Uzbekistan;
** In the section «Personal data» applicants need to put in their biographical information;
** In the section «Photo and passport», applicants need to upload facial photo and a copy of the travel document main data page;
** In the section «Activation», applicants need to put in their email address.
** In the section «Payment», applicants need to make payment of the consular fee via the international payment system Visa.
** If, according to international agreements concluded by the Republic of Uzbekistan, a foreign citizen has the right to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan on a visa-free basis, the treatment process is interrupted by the portal until the moment of payment and notifies the user that there is no need to issue a visa.
** If the country of the foreign citizen is not included in the list of countries with a simplified procedure for issuing a visa, the system notifies the user about the need to contact the appropriate foreign institution of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
** Entering of personal data is carried out in English according to the data of the valid travel document with which the foreign citizen plans to enter the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The uploaded face image must comply with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s DOC9303.
** An electronic copy of the data page of the travel document must be readable (the file size is not more than 500 Kb).
** Activation of application for registration of an electronic visa is made by entering a digital code sent to the e-mail address of a foreign citizen.
** The consular fee is paid with the Visa card. After payment of the state duty, a message on the successful acceptance into the processing of its data is sent to the e-mail address of the foreign citizen.
** The web portal provides the ability to track the status of the call.
** If a positive decision is taken to issue an electronic visa, the generated electronic visa will be sent to the e-mail address of the foreign citizen in pdf format.
** In case of refusal to issue an electronic visa to the e-mail address of a foreign citizen, a message is sent on the need to apply to the foreign office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
