Burial Assistance for Families

This service provides burial assistance on behalf of a deceased person.

Eligibility :
** Persons earning minimum wage or lower.
** Bahamian citizen or permanent resident.
** Over the age of 18.
** The applicant must be the Head of the Household.

Process :
** The applicant walks into an Outreach Centre and makes a request to the Social Service Representative (SSR).
** SSR conducts a preliminary interview to assess the applicant’s eligibility.
** SSR conducts a home visit and a recommendation is made about eligibility.
** The applicant will be contacted and informed of eligibility.
