Applying for a Cemetery Plot

Cemetery Plots are provided for members of the public who do not have a family plot to bury their relatives.

Eligibility :
Any member of the public can apply for a Cemetery Plot.

Process :
** Fill out the Cemetery Plot form and submit it to Central Services Section of the Ministry of Works and Transport.
** The fee is paid when the form is submitted at the Central Services Section of the Ministry of Works and Transport.
** An officer will allocate a plot in a public graveyard.

Application for a Cemetery Plot form.

Supporting Documents :
A valid I.D. card, driver’s licence, passport.
A Death Certificate of the deceased.

Turn-around time :
A plot is allotted within a day or two of the request once there is space in the burial ground.

Deadline :
There are no deadlines for this service.

Related Fee(s) :
Plots cost BS$62.00 each.
