FAQs :
1) Why are there changes made to the eCitizen portal?
We continue to improve our digital products to meet the evolving needs of our citizens. The eCitizen portal was launched in 1999 as the first-stop portal for cross-agency information and services to serve our citizens’ needs.

As part of our efforts for a more integrated citizen experience for our digital services, the content from eCitizen portal will be migrated to an improved Gov.sg by end of this year.

From 8 June, you can continue to access key eCitizen content at the interim page until the migration is completed year end. If you have subscribed to LTA and URA eAlerts, please note that these two services will be discontinued from 8 June 2017.

2) What is Gov.sg?
Revamped in 2015, Gov.sg is the official online communication platform and repository of the Singapore Government.

Here are some examples of what you can do on Gov.sg :
** Read up on the latest policy announcements
** Access timely and relevant information and news on Singapore

** View government-related events on the events calendar
** Translate Government terms using the translating tool
** Search for contact information of public service agencies

3) What will happen to my eCitizen account?
Your eCitizen account will no longer be available from 8 June 2017 onwards, as work is in progress to provide a more integrated citizen experience. Please be rest assured that this will not affect your transactions with other government agencies. For enquires, you can email info [AT] tech.gov.sg.

4) What will happen to the eAlerts Service?
If you have subscribed to LTA and URA eAlerts, please see below for alternative arrangements – For LTA Road Tax Expiry notification – Starting 5 June, you will receive email reminders from LTA — no action is required on your part.
