Sharjah National Wife Addition on a UAE Family Book

Requirements:
** Original application form signed by the husband
** Original and copy of family book for the husband

** Original marriage certificate
** Proof of the validity of marriage from the court (in case the contract was from outside UAE and has been for over 6 months or was issued inside UAE and has been for over a year)
** Original and copy Passport of the wife with residency to prove that the wife is under the husband’s sponsorship

** Copy of recent education certificate
** Copy of passport of the wife
** Copy of Emirates ID for both the husband and the wife
** Original passport of the husband
** 4 personal photos for the wife
** To whom it may concern certificate (in case the wife was working)
** Empost sticker or fully paid urgent application

Application Process

** Fill in the application form at any typing center
** Submit the printed application along with the required documents at the Administration of Citizenship
** Receive the passport by Empost or immediately in case of submitting the urgent application.

Fees

** AED 10 for the addition application
** AED 100 extra fee for urgent application

Important Information:
The attendance of the wife and the husband is a must

Expatriate Wife Addition on a UAE National’s Family Book :
Requirements :
** Original application form signed by the husband
** Original and a copy of Family book for the husband
** Original Marriage certificate

** Proof of the validity of marriage from the court (in case the contract was from outside UAE and has been for over 6 months or was issued inside UAE and has been for over a year)

** Original and copy Passport of the wife with residency to prove that the wife is under the husband’s sponsorship
** Copy of birth certificate of the wife

** One personal photo for the wife
** Original passport of the husband
** Copy of Emirates ID for the husband

** To whom it may concern certificate for the husband
** Original Military Intelligence approval (in case the husband is retired from the armed forces or still works there)

** Original certificate of proof of previous employment (in case the husband previously served in the armed forces or any government or private entity)
** Empost sticker or fully paid urgent application

Application Process :
** Fill in the application form at any typing center
** Submit the printed application along with the required documents at the Administration of Citizenship
** Receive the passport by Empost or immediately in case of submitting the urgent application.

About Us

The Emirate of Sharjah is located at a longitude of 55 degrees and 25 East, and a latitude of 25 degrees and 22 North. Sharjah is the oldest Emirate on the coast of Oman, and lies in the centre of other emirates, spread over an area of 2600 sq. km, occupying 3.3% of the total area of the United Arab Emirates (not counting the islands).

It is the only emirate that overlooks the coastline on the Arabian Gulf from the West and the Gulf of Oman (Indian Ocean) from the East. The coastline on the Gulf extends about 20 Km, and within 80 Km to the Gulf of Oman.
