Sharjah Booking/ Renewal of Vehicle’s Plate

This service books and renews unused plates by the owners request for 6 moths – year

Requirements:
** A valid passport photocopy
** ID photocopy.
** Driving test pass.
** Original driving license

Procedure:
Providing the employee with the required documents and getting the electronic q-number. The employee enters the information into the E-System, collects the fees, and provides the customer with booking paper.

Special Conditions:
Applicant should pay all traffic fines registered in his traffic file

Fees:
AED 160 for those below 21 years old ** AED 560 for those above.

Renewal of Light Vehicles Driving License

About :
A service provided by Vehicles and Driving Licensing Dept through which driving license is renewed every 10 years for drivers who are 21 years of age. Driving licenses of those below 21 years old are renewed annually.
Targeted Customers : Individuals

Requirements :
** Original driving license
** A valid passport photocopy
** ID photocopy
** One personal photo
** Eye test.

Procedure :
** Receptionist receives required documents from applicant and hands him a service ticket to be served.
** Entering information in the traffic system and then service officer collects fees from applicant.
** Delivering the applicant his new driving license

About Us

The Emirate of Sharjah is located at a longitude of 55 degrees and 25 East, and a latitude of 25 degrees and 22 North. Sharjah is the oldest Emirate on the coast of Oman, and lies in the centre of other emirates, spread over an area of 2600 sq. km, occupying 3.3% of the total area of the United Arab Emirates (not counting the islands).

It is the only emirate that overlooks the coastline on the Arabian Gulf from the West and the Gulf of Oman (Indian Ocean) from the East. The coastline on the Gulf extends about 20 Km, and within 80 Km to the Gulf of Oman.
