How To Apply For BRTA Digital Registration Certificate?

To apply for BRTA Bangladesh Digital Registration Certificate, Follow the below procedure,

Procedure for issuing digital registration certificate (DRC) to motor vehicle owner and issuing and collecting biometrics.

Procedure For Receiving Services

After submitting the fee for the BRTA Bangladesh  digital registration certificate, the customer is informed via mobile message to provide biometrics (four fingerprints, digital photo and signature).

To provide biometrics, the customer has to make an appointment through mobile massage. Biometrics (picture, fingerprint and signature) of the digital registration certificate along with the following paperwork should be provided at the prescribed time-

** Original copy of fee deposit receipt and one set photocopy (A4 size) applicable for digital registration certificate at the designated bank on-line;

** Original copy of registration certificate and one set of photocopies (A4 size);
** One set photocopy along with original copy of National Identity Card / Driving License (Smart Card) / Machine Readable Passport;

Procedure For Taking Appointment

Procedure for taking appointment for payment of biometrics for BRTA Bangladesh digital registration certificate (Dhaka and Chittagong Metro Circle Office only)
Steps :

Step 1 : Go to the message option of mobile and type NP <space> B <space> Date and send to 26969. For example, if you want to make an appointment for the date of February 11 according to your choice, you have to write NP B 11 and send it to 26969. Biometrics can be provided at the time mentioned in the return message.

Step 2 : Once the Digital Registration Certificate is generated, the customer is informed through mobile message and to receive it, one has to make an appointment (Dhaka and Chittagong Metro Circle Office only) as follows:

Step 3 : Go to SMS option of mobile and type NP <space> C <space> Date and send to 26969. For example, if you want to make an appointment for the date of February 1, you have to write NP C 11 and send it to 26969.

The digital registration certificate can be accepted at the time mentioned in the return message. If it is not possible to accept the certificate on the due date, re-appointment can be made in the same manner.

Go to SMS option of mobile number NP <space> Vehicle Reg. Type Numerical No (6 digit) <space> Transaction Number (Last 6 digit) and send to 26969.

For example : Registration number of your motor vehicle is Dhaka Metro-G-12-1212 and transaction number of money deposit receipt is 2001011325989. E.g. If you want to change your mobile number, you have to write NP 121212 325989 and send it to 26969.

Additional Generic Procedure

Here are the steps on how to apply for a BRTA Digital Registration Certificate (DRC):
1) Go to the BRTA Service Portal website: https://bsp.brta.gov.bd/
2) Click on the “Digital Registration Certificate” link.
3) Create an account on the BRTA Service Portal.
4) Fill out the application form.
5) Upload the required documents.
6) Pay the application fee.
7) Submit your application.

The required documents for a BRTA DRC are:
1) A copy of your national identity card (NID).
2) A copy of your driving license.
3) A recent passport-size photograph.
4) The application fee, which is Tk. 500.

You can pay the application fee online through the BRTA Service Portal or at any BRTA office. Once your application has been submitted, BRTA will process it and will contact you if any additional information is required. If your application is approved, BRTA will issue you a BRTA DRC within a few weeks.
