How to Apply?

Before completing the Application Form, please review the following steps carefully to understand the process from start to finish.

Start Online Application Form

** The Application Form is divided into sections.
** Follow instructions in each section until the Form is complete.

** You can start or continue the process and complete it at any time.

Requirements for Applicants

Please note that the following items, where applicable must be uploaded online and brought to the Office of the Attorney General.
** Certified Passport size Photograph
** Original Birth Certificate
** Original Police Certificate of Character
** Marriage Certificate (where there is a change of name by marriage)
** Two (2) written or typed character references

Please note the following :
** Please be advised that the testimonials, which are submitted, should not be obtained from relatives and should not be job references.
** Please ensure that the date and place of your current or most recent employment is stated.
** Please note that all submissions MUST be in English. Please note that any translations must be notarized before submission.

Submit Application

** After submitting the form, you will not be able to make any further changes to the information online.
** Ensure that you have checked off all the necessary requirements listed under the “Review Checklist” at the final section.

Track Application

1. Can the Chief Parliamentary Counsel draft laws at the request of the public?
No. The Chief Parliamentary Counsel can only draft laws after the policy has been approved by the Cabinet of Barbados.
