Applicants who have misplaced their COC, or wish to have additional copies of COC, may apply for a duplicate copy if the initial COC application was made within the last six months.If the initial COC application was made more than six months ago, applicants are required to apply for a new COC instead. A fee of SGD $30 will be chargeable for each duplicate COC issued.

Applicants may collect the duplicate COCs at Police Cantonment Complex or opt to have it mailed to the address provided in the application form.For collection, please bring along a copy of the acknowledgement slip, generated at the end of the application (sample below) and an identity document for verification.

1. How long does it take to renew Security Officer licence?
The normal processing time is at least 14 working days from the receipt of the application along with the payment and all required supporting documents. Any incomplete or incorrect submissions will be rejected.

2. Is a medical certification required when applying for a Security Officer licence?
A medical certificate is not a requirement, unless the Licensing Officer requests that you furnish one.

3. Do I need to renew my security ID card?
There is no need to renew your security ID card as long as you possess a valid Security Officer licence. Renewal of security ID card is only required when you renew your Security Officer licence.

4. How do I check on Security Officer’s staff grade?
To check your Staff Grade [PWM Grade], login to GoBusiness Licensing (www.GoBusiness.gov.sg) using your SingPass and follow the following steps

i. Select “Licensed Entities”
ii. Under the “Singapore Police Force” header , click “+” to expand the different types of Enquiry”
iii. Select “Enquiry on Security Officer and Private Investigator Licences”
iv. Click the “Search” button.

5. How do I check on the validity of my Security Officer licence?
To check on the Security Officer licence’s validity, login to LicenceOne using your Singpass and follow the following steps

i. Select “Licensed Entities”
ii. Under the “Singapore Police Force” header , click “+” to expand the different types of Enquiry”
iii. Select “Enquiry on Security Officer and Private Investigator Licences”
iv. Click the “Search” button.

Additional Simplified Procedure

To apply for a duplicate Certificate of Clearance (COC) online in Singapore, follow these steps:
1. Go to the SPF e-Services website at https://eservices.police.gov.sg/content/policehubhome/homepage/certificate-of-clearance-hub.html
2. Login via Singpass if you are a Singapore Citizen, or via your Foreign Identification Number (FIN)/ID and current valid passport number if you are a non-Singapore Citizen.
3. Click on the “Apply for Duplicate Certificate of Clearance” link.
4. Fill in the online application form.
5. Upload the required documents, which include:
** A document indicating that a COC is required and for what purpose.
** A passport-size photograph of yourself (in either JPEG, BMP or PNG format).
6. Pay the application fee of S$30.
7. Submit your application.

Note:
If you have misplaced your original COC, or wish to have additional copies of COC, you may apply for a duplicate copy if the initial COC application was made within the last six months. If the initial COC application was made more than six months ago, you are required to apply for a new COC instead.

Once your application is submitted, you will receive an email confirmation. The processing time for duplicate COC applications is 5 working days, excluding the time taken by courier to deliver the COC to your postal address.

Non-Singapore Citizens may only apply for a duplicate COC after their appeal to apply for a COC is approved. To appeal, please select “Appeal by non-Singapore Citizens to Apply for Certificate of Clearance” and complete the online appeal form.
