Eligibility

As an applicant for citizenship, you must be at least 18 years of age, of good character, without a criminal record, and able and willing to make the required contribution.

You must engage an Authorised Agent who will assist you in preparing the required forms and supporting documents. There are also limitations if you are a citizen of Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria

Requirements

Requirements for applying for Citizenship
** Completed application forms (available at the Labour Division, Ministry of National Security, Labour and Immigration)

** Letter addressed to Minister for Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Labour requesting citizenship
** Police Record
** Birth Certificate
** Four (4) passports sized photos
** Medical certificate including HIV test
** Bank statement/recommendation from banker
** Marriage Certificate
** Two testimonials

** Application fee of EC $250.00 to be paid at the Treasury Department
** Treasury receipt as proof of payment of application fee
** Recent copy of work/residence permit
** Copy of the bio data page of passport and the pages with date of issue and expiry date

** EC $20 stamps* for application forms
1. Oath of allegiance
2. EC $20 adhesive stamps* for oath of allegiance
* Stamps are available for purchase at the General Post Office in Roseau and at its branches.

3. If the Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Labour approves the application the applicant is required to
i. Take an oath at the Registry
ii. Pay registration fee of EC $2000.00 at the Treasury Department

** Completed application forms (available at the Labour Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Labour) duly notarized
** EC $20.00 adhesive stamps*
** Letter addressed to Honourable Minister for Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Labour requesting renunciation of citizenship

** Birth Certificate
** Four (4) passport sized photos
** Application fee of EC $100.00 to be paid at the Treasury Department
** Treasury receipt as proof of payment of application fee
** Notarized translation of request for renunciation of citizenship by the Dutch or relevant authorities

* Stamps are available for purchase at the General Post Office in Roseau and at its branches.
