Registering Palestinian Refugee Child :

** The applicant’s Identity Card.
** The applicant’s extract of Civil Registration issued by the Palestinian refugees’ administration in Lebanon.

** A certificate from the UNRWA stating that the applicant is registered even if his name is mentioned on his parents’ ration card or a certificate that he does not have a record in its registry.
** A statement of travel permit from by his parents or his legal guardian.
** Three colored photos stamped by the JP’s seal.
** An identification and residence certificate issued by the JP (*) along with two witnesses and the photocopy of their Identity cards.

Fees: Gratis.

Processing time: Ten days starting the date the application is presented.

* JP: Justice of the peace or commissioner of declarations , it is the judicial officer elected in each district authorized to witness and sign statutory declarations and provide various application forms for official procedures.:

Palestinians Not Holding Any Identity Documents:
An identification card is granted to the Palestinian resident on the Lebanese territory without any identification documents on the basis of the following required documents:
** An identification document bearing information about the applicant issued by the Palestinian Embassy in Lebanon.
** A certificate of identification and residence of the JP of the locality or a statement of identification of the Palestinian Embassy in Lebanon.
** 3 recent color photos showing the face with a white background size 4.3*3.5 cm which are not a copy of a previous photo, legalized by the Mayor’s signature and seal or by the Palestinian Embassy, bearing the applicant’s name, one of which will be directly attached to the application by the competent personnel at the General Security regional office, the two other will be enclosed to the application.
** A fiscal stamp of one thousand Lebanese pounds.

The identification card is considered valid for one year as of its issuance date. As soon as the Palestinian individual presents an application for a new card after the old one has expired, the instructions mentioned above will apply.

In case of loss or damage of the Identity card, the same instructions concerning the loss or damage of the residence permit – under consideration category will apply.

Note:
The identification document issued by the Palestinian Embassy is valid for one month from its issuance date; once this period has been over passed the Palestinian individual can no longer present his application using the identification document.

About Us :
** On the 5th of January 1921, the decree No. 1061, according to which the General security was established, is issued. This institution is called the First Office at that time.

** On the 19th of February 1923, the decree No. 1768 is issued. Pursuant to this decree, the Police force is reorganized in Lebanon, including the Judicial Police and the General Security.
