Procedure for submitting an application & receipt of Legal Aid

** Downloading from the Legal Aid Department’s website.
** Application to the welfare departments in the Local Authorities or in some of the voluntary organizations. The Form can be obtained free of charge from all of them.

** The Form can be obtained at the Legal Aid Bureau nearest to where you live.
** It is recommended that you copy the complete application form and bring it to the
** The Application Form must be submitted to the Bureau nearest to where you live, one of the five bureaus operated by the Department.

The Form can be submitted :
** By sending it in the mail or by Fax to the nearest bureau to where you reside.
** As a general rule, Sundays-Thursdays between 8.30am and 12.30pm

** Regulation 3B (a) grants exemption from payment of participation fee to the following applicants :

Regulation 3B (b) stipulates cases in which an exemption from payment of the fee applies, and they are :
